WSA Winnipeg is pleased to announce that forward Moses Danto will be training with Major League Soccer club Sporting Kansas City in June.
“I want to thank God for this chance” Danto said. “Also my mom for feeding me the good food, my dad and of course WSA Winnipeg.”
The former Canadian youth international has spent the past six seasons in Winnipeg and is the PDL side’s all time leading goal scorer.
“When Moses joined us we always knew he could do great things.” Said WSA Winnipeg head coach Eduardo Badescu. “Through our club and playing in the PDL he has been able to work on his game and showcase his skills in the States.”
A 6’2 forward with a strong left food and speed, Danto will head to the States on June 19th.
“Trials like this is why we started WSA,” said Badescu, “We want players in Winnipeg to be able to compete with the best and showcase themselves outside of Winnipeg.”
Danto is back with WSA Winnipeg this summer, and will make his season debut this weekend as Thunder Bay comes into town for home opening weekend. He will continue to train and prepare for his opportunity with Kansas City, who also operate a pro team in the USL.
“We’re very excited for him and wish him all the best.”
