WSA Winnipeg will finish the 2018 PDL campaign with a familiar name on the roster. Goalkeeper Tyson Farago is joining the Wolfpack after a stint overseas with St. Patrick’s Athletic in Ireland.
Farago last played for WSA Winnipeg in the 2013 season where he led the league in saves and saves per game in the process. He was then signed by FC Edmonton where he made 24 appearances over four seasons.
He joined St. Pats in March, making three appearances before returning to Manitoba for the summer.
“Tyson trains with us when his pro teams are on a break and we are lucky enough this time to have him available during the PDL season,” said WSA Winnipeg head coach Eduardo Badescu.
“He’s an example for all soccer players in Winnipeg that want to be a professional so we are excited to have him join the guys.”
The Wolfpack finish the season with three home games, starting with a back to back with the St. Louis Lions on July 9 and July 10. The season ends July 13 against Kaw Valley.
